Training Days

Where

BTRDA run two training days a year, in Spring and Autumn, often at Shelsley Walsh near Worcester and Long Compton near Banbury.

Why

Their purpose is twofold, to allow those interested in joining the sport to “have a go” and see if it really is for them, before investing in any hardware, and secondly to help those who have already invested to learn to drive safely and to shake down their cars before entering a proper competition, all under the watchful eye of very experienced instructors.

Most participants will have learned to drive a learner grade trials hill (section) by the end of the day.

It's strongly advised that you attend one of our training days before you enter a BTRDA event. You will probably find you will enjoy your first competitive outing a whole lot more!!

How Much?

£80 per Day (Those bringing along their own cars get a discount on the fee)

  • Each participant gets 50% of the driving for the day in a competitive modern trials car with the instructor (owner) in the passenger seat.
  • The action starts at about 10.30 and finishes around 4pm (so it is a very full day).
  • There is a lunch break to allow time for discussion and questions.

Training day dates time and details can be found in the Events section of the website
